Sažetak

Autor u doprinosu propituje neke opće i temeljne, dakle teorijske aspekte sestrinstva. Koncepcija doprinosa se očituje u tri glavna dijela. U prvom dijelu autor analizira ideju sestrinstva u svjetlu identitetskog pitanja, a u kontekstu društva općenito i zdravstva posebno.

Drugi dio doprinosa odmah se nadovezuje na prvi, jer autor u njemu analizira smisao i značenje sestrinstva u svjetlu autonomne profesije i/ili autentičnoga poziva, zvanja. Sestrinstvo kao autonomna profesija je novijega datuma, no njegova povijest svjedoči u prilog autentičnom zvanju, tj. karizmatskom pozivu sui generis za njegovanje bolesnika, činjenica koja (je) sačinjava(la) samu srž sestrinske prakse. Treći dio doprinosa se pobliže bavi idejnim aspektima etike sestrinstva. Autor u njemu pokušava utvrditi vrijednosnu supstanciju sestrinske prakse u svrhu definiranja temelja etike sestrinstva. Tu vrijednosnu supstanciju autor istražuje u značenju medicinske ili zdravstvene skrbi. Iako je koncept medicinske skrbi višeznačan i višedimenzionalan, autor zagovara integraciju svih vrijednosnih aspekata različitih značenja medicinske skrbi u jednu jedinstvenu cjelinu kao realnom i neupitnom vrijednosnom temelju profesionalne etike sestrinstva. Dakle, sestrinska praksa skrbi za bolesnika bitno uvjetuje artikulaciju profesionalne etike sestrinstva.

Summary

IDENTITY, PROFESSION AND ETHICS OF SISTERHOOD

The author questions some general and fundamental, that is, theoretical aspects of sisterhood. The concept of the article is presented in three main sections. The first analyses the idea of sisterhood in the light of the question of identity and in the context of society in general and particularly with health. The second section immediately relates to the first because the author analyses the sense and meaning of sisterhood in the light of autonomous professions and/or authentic calling, vocation. Sisterhood as an autonomous

profession is more recent however its history witnesses in favour of an authentic calling, i.e. charismatic call sui genris to care for the ill, a fact that creates the actual meaning of sisterhood. The third section deals in detail with the aspect of the ethics of sisterhood.

The author attempts to determine the value substance of sisterhood with the aim of defining basic ethics of sisterhood. That substance value is researched in the medical meaning and health care. Even though the concept of medical care is manifold and multi-dimensional, the author supports integration of all value aspects of the various meanings of medical care and one complete whole as a real and unquestionable value based on the professional ethics of sisterhood. Therefore, sisterhood care of the ill vitally articulates the professional ethics of sisterhood.
